Practice #4: Overcoming Temptation

When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed.

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you
face trials of many kinds, because you know that
the testing of your faith develops perseverance.
Perseverance must finish its work so that you may
be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
- James 1:2-4

How do we overcome temptation?
1. Understand no temptation is too hard. 1 Cor 10:13
2. Develop an aggressive mindset. Rom 8:11-13
3. Use the Word as your offensive weapon. Eph 6:17
