The Gateway Life Church Praise and Worship Team is a multicultural group of singers and musicians that have come together because of their love for God, music and life.  Each member has been called to use his or her talent to praise and worship the Almighty.  Our team plays a wide variety of contemporary Christian music from a number of recognized artists to include Hillsong, Fred Hammond, Israel Houghton, Chris Tomlin and the Newsboys.

God's David was the ultimate model of praise and worship in the Bible, as he used it to prepare his army for battle.  The Bible tells us that before David marched into battle, he formed a battle line.  However, David's battle line was unique, in that the first rows were filled with singers, and the next rows were comprised of musicians. The warriors actually came after the musicians.  So, what did David know that made him not only a great warrior, but also a "man after God's own heart?"

David knew that praise and worship bolstered his men while it struck fear into the heart of his enemy.  David also knew that in order to truly get close to God, he must praise and worship Him without inhibition.  Today, the Praise and Worship Team is responsible for ushering in the holy presence of God and preparing the hearts and minds of the congregation to receive the word of God every week.  It allows the congregation to experience the presence of God on the most personal of levels, and for the Almighty to hear the love and admiration of his people.  Not much has changed since the days of David and his army as praise and worship continues to strengthen our spirit, comfort our soul, bind up our faith, dissolve our worries and strike fear into our enemy.
